New OOW video! (Language Warning)

!!!!!!!!!!WARNING!!!!!!!!!!!  There is foul language in this video...do not watch with children around!

The ONLY reason I've posted this is because this is one of our (Ohio Ordnance Works) guns...okay, and the footage is pretty sweet!  So, again, I apologize up front for the language, watch it muted if you just want to see some cool video.  This guy approached us (apparently he's a pretty big deal on the internet) and wanted to do a shoot with one of our Fifties.  Naturally, we provided a gun, a place to shoot, and some produce.  His videos have an insanely high hit rate...so the publicity for the company is pretty good.  Enjoy!

Girls and Shooting!

While my wife goes to Bible Study on Monday nights my girls and I have time for Daddy/Daughter dates.  Last night we went to FroYo Twist in Mentor.  This store is owned by a friend of mine and is quickly becoming one of our favorite places to go!  They just added another machine with two new flavors, Cake batter and Caramel, YUMMY, is all I can say.

As we were driving back home, they asked me something that I loved to hear...  They said, "Dad, when can we shoot again?"  I simply replied, "As soon as we get home!"  We shot air rifles and pistols for about an hour and had a "blast"!  The shooting sports can be a great family pastime, as well as teach discipline and confidence to your children.  There is nothing like seeing the thrill they get when they hit the bullseye!  Both shot very well last night and exercised exceptional safety practices.  I am very proud of both of them.

With that being said, look for a post coming soon directed towards Husbands and Dads.  I have been thinking about it for some time and just recently started putting it on "paper".

Quote

"When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that is the beginning of the end of any nation." - Dr. Adrian Pierce Rogers

I saw this over at SurvivalBlog this morning...thought I'd share it with you all.

Proud to live in Cleveland?

Well, if THIS doesn't make you proud to live in the Cleveland area I don't know what will. Cleveland is #2 on the list of "Worst Places to Live" by dailyfinance.com. It seems that people are leaving the city at an alarming rate. After going to Chicago on my vacation last month I can understand why. I am currently reading Atlas Shrugged where the two largest industries are Steel and Railroads. Cleveland used to be a huge part of the steel industry. Could the fact that our steel mills got shut down by people buying steel out-of-country have anything to do with people leaving our city? Lowest bidder isn't always the best solution.

Why I have guns

Yet another reason why there are guns in my home...

Again, please know I am not knocking the police...this is just another instance where someone literally did not have time to wait for police to arrive and it cost them their lives.
